Time for a new website?
5 must read tips to help you find the perfect agency.

If you have you been contemplating a new website, but are unsure on how to choose an agency thats right for you, here are a few pointers that I’d like to share with you.

1 - It should be well designed.

Never underestimate the importance of a strong brand showcased on your website. Your website is often the first glimpse your clients have of your company, so it should be on brand and professionally designed to reflect your companies values. According to Stanford University, 75% of people judge the credibility of a company based on the design of its website.

2 - It MUST be mobile responsive.

No-one likes looking outdated, and these days more than half your views can be on a mobile, so when having your new site built, make sure your agency designs your site to look great on mobile, not just desktop.

3 - SEO matters.

Search engine algorithms have changed a lot over the last few years, so its highly important that your agency has up-to-date knowledge about what really works for search engine rankings. This can include several steps like additional original content (blogs and news), key word selection and targeted content, as well as link building.

4 - It should be easy enough for you to use.

Websites should always be designed with the client in mind. For example, if you write regular news articles, you should be able to upload them to your site yourself quickly and easily, even if your not tech savvy. If you want to add photos of your projects, the site should be compatible with your photography abilities. Always ask your agency about what features you will be able to update yourself.

5 - It should give you confidence and authority in your industry.

Above all, your website should be an investment that makes you confident in dealing with your customers, an gives you an authority within your industry. If you ever need to apologise for a feature on your website, or would prefer clients not to view it, then it’s likely time for an update.
